Thank you so much for your continued support of the Cascade Head Music Festival. 2011 has been an exciting year for the Festival. In March, we hosted the International Award-winning and incredibly charming Debussy String Quartet with an evening of chamber music featuring French composers, Debussy and Ravel.  In April, we welcomed the Portland Baroque Orchestra for a concert featuring PBO soloists on viola d’amore, guitar, and mandolin.  Cascade Head Music Festival, supported by the Siletz Tribal Charitable Trust, hosted these soloists in concert demonstrations for 240 Taft and Oceanlake Elementary students in their schools.  In September, fundraiser patrons supported Cascade Head Music Festival’s concert season by enjoying a delightful concert performance of Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte by Cascadia Concert Opera. In October, we were able to bring back jazz-fusion ensemble OREGON for a stunning performance that knowledgeable insiders called "one of their best ever!"

For 2012, we are partnering with Oregon Bach Festival and Portland Baroque Orchestra to bring Monica Huggett and the orchestra to the Oregon Coast in a concert featuring Bach’s Goldberg Variations arranged for String Orchestra.  Scheduled concert date is July 3, 2012, and we’ll be working with other partners to plan other public educational and music events complementary to this concert.  We plan to continue to work closely with the Lincoln City Cultural Center to support their efforts to bring excellent live music performance to the Central Oregon Coast.
