Cascade Head Music Festival - Lincoln City, Oregon

Thank you so much for your continued support of the Cascade Head Music Festival. 2009 has been an exciting year for the Festival. In April we welcomed the jazz-fusion ensemble OREGON to the newly renovated auditorium at the Lincoln City Cultural Center. In October our classical program brought the Oregon premiere of the award winning Moscow String Quartet. More than 400 students, community members and visitors came together to enjoy amazing world-class music and to connect with the musicians at this year’s concerts and special events. This past year we launched a new and very successful Spring and Fall Season schedule, and we’re looking ahead to big plans for Spring and Fall 2010.

For 2010, we are once again renewing our commitment to present outstanding musical performance in an intimate setting for our community and also for the many visitors to the Oregon Coast. Right now, we are making plans to welcome the Portland Baroque Orchestra with visiting recorder virtuoso Matthias Maute in early March. Monica Huggett, renowned violinist, Director of Historical Music at Julliard and PBO Artistic Director, will perform with the orchestra for an unforgettable evening of outstanding Baroque music at the Lincoln City Cultural Center. We’re continuing to work with our partners of the past year, the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology and Western Oregon University, to enrich the main concert performances with other special and educational events.
